Knox Media Hub Expands Its Partner Ecosystem with Vionlabs, Mediagenix and XL8 Integrations

New off-the-shelf integrations with Mediagenix, Vionlabs and XL8

New off-the-shelf integrations with Mediagenix, Vionlabs and XL8

At Knox Media Hub, our mission has always been clear: to act as the ultimate โ€œglueโ€ for the global Media & Entertainment ecosystem. Managing a modern media library should not feel like navigating a fragmented maze of disconnected tools. Everything from ingestion and transformation to automation and distribution should happen seamlessly.

We are thrilled to announce three powerful new integrations that take this vision one step further. By connecting Knox Media Hub with Mediagenix, Vionlabs and XL8, we are bringing more solutions to work directly into your media workflows.

Here is a closer look at how these integrations reduce friction, enrich metadata and drive operational efficiency.

๐Ÿ“… Mediagenix: Connecting Broadcast Metadata to Operational Workflows

Bridging datasets

Through the integration, Knox Media Hub retrieves relevant information from Mediagenix and uses it to support catalogue structure, metadata consistency and workflow automation. This helps teams align business systems with operational media workflows, reducing manual cataloguing work and improving consistency across the content lifecycle.

This kind of metadata exchange is not glamorous, but it is one of the foundations of efficient media operations. When cataloguing, scheduling and asset management systems are not connected, operational teams often become the integration layer themselves. They check one system, update another, rename files, add tags and hope nothing important gets lost along the way.

By integrating Mediagenix metadata into Knox Media Hub workflows, media companies can reduce those manual steps and improve consistency between business systems and media operations.

The result is a cleaner flow from ingest to mastering, broadcast preparation and distribution.

๐Ÿง  Vionlabs: Bringing in AI-Driven Content Discovery

Vionlabs supports a key challenge facing many media companies and streaming platforms: content libraries are rich, but metadata is often too limited to help audiences find the right title at the right moment. Vionlabs addresses this through AI-powered metadata enrichment and thumbnail generation, designed to improve search, recommendations, curated lists and the overall browsing experience.

Inside a connected Knox Media Hub environment, this type of integration becomes especially valuable because enriched metadata can be operationalized. It is not just created and left somewhere else; it can become part of the asset lifecycle, supporting smarter workflows around discovery, editorial curation and downstream distribution.

For content owners and media companies, the benefit is clear: better metadata means more usable libraries. More usable libraries mean fewer hidden assets, stronger discovery and more opportunities to extract value from existing content.

๐ŸŒ XL8: AI Transcription and Subtitle Translation at Scale

XL8 brings AI-powered transcription and subtitle translation capabilities, helping teams localize content faster and now, with fewer workflow interruptions.

The integration allows users to trigger AI video transcription from Knox Media Hub. Files can be selected from the library or processed in bulk. Once XL8 completes the transcription process, Knox Media Hub automatically ingests the resulting subtitles and provides a link for users to review the result in XL8โ€™s interface for a human-in-the-loop review.

The same logic applies to subtitle translation. Teams can automate subtitle translation through Pipelines, Knox Media Hubโ€™s orchestration module, triggering translations in XL8 and have the resulting subtitles ingested back into Knox Media Hub without lifting a finger.

For broadcasters, distributors and media companies, this solves a very practical problem: localization work often sits outside the main media supply chain. Files are exported, sent to another platform, tracked manually and re-imported later. Every handover adds friction.

With tools like XL8 connected through Knox Media Hub, transcription and translation can become part of the same operational flow as ingest, QC, metadata, mastering and delivery.

Why Media Supply Chain Integrations Matter

Media companies are managing more content, more platforms, more languages and more delivery requirements than ever before. At the same time, teams are expected to move faster, reduce repetitive work and improve the value of every asset in the library.

That is difficult when workflows depend on disconnected systems.

A video file may live in one platform, its scheduling or catalogue data in another, localization tasks in another, and AI-generated metadata somewhere else entirely. When these systems do not communicate properly, teams lose time copying information, chasing status updates, re-uploading files or rebuilding context manually.

Knox Media Hubโ€™s approach is different. As an API-first and modular cloud MAM, it is designed to bring external tools into the workflow, so media teams can activate specialist services from a single operational environment.

This matters because the media supply chain is not a straight line. It is a network.
